Default 1985 with high NOX
I have an EGR valve that will not hold vacum when running. But will hold vacum when applied with a remote pump with the engine off. Any thoughts?

The EGR valves on our vettes are a negative back pressure valve. It may not seem right, but your valve is working correctly. I just went thru this on my 85 - ended up that the EGR solenoid was bad. To test the EGR solenoid, start the engine. Ground the grey wire and you should get vacuum thru the solenoid. The solenoids are almost impossible to find, but your can use a newer one. Do a search on "EGR solenoid".
