Default Tow Hook

Anyone know what this looks like?

OPTION - C4 "V70 Front Tow Hook - Export"

Thanks for any info, I need to install a tow point on my C4 front and rear and really do not want to alter anything, just bolt something on?

John

PS - V76 - also as an RPO Tow Hook?

here is the v76 tow hook option. basically mounts where the license plate mounts. You will get used to the looks sooner or later. Or pull it off after repeated shin bruises.

The words Tow Hook and Corvette should never be used in the sane sentence.

If you roadrace they are required to pull you out of places you have spun out into.

This IS for road racing, still haven't quite got the car ready for the Newfoundland Targa and I'm leaving on the 8th of September!

This one looks a little too robust for a racing application.

I will tell you what Im going to try doing. If you remove the license plates there is some sort of frame crossmember. I am thinking of welding some sort of eyelet to that, so a tow truck can hook on to it should it need too, but then it would be hidden when you put the plate back on. I have not looked into this too much but I am leaning this direction if its possible.

that crossmember thing you see behind the license plate is actually the fiberglass impact bumper. Now if your talking the part across the front frame horns that the impact bumper bolts to that is some pretty thin metal anyways. Good luck welding too it!

If you open the hood there is a crossmember where the hinges of the hood bolt to. That seems to be pretty solid no? Is that the piece you are talking about being thin?

I think I know what youre talking about but the thing with racing tow hook is, if you have to get hauled out of say gravel or something no one is going to hunting under the car for a hook, they are required to be easily accessible from the outside, not underneath. Now what you are talking about works great for strapping the car to the trailer.
