My wife helped me to put my tenpin bowling ball in the Vette trunk and to help she lifted up the "glass" roof lid which was in its holders as it should be but lifted too high.....i now have a 2" x 1 1/2" piece of roof ( smoked glass type)off the corner of my hard top. Can it be glued back in ( I think my roof is a smoked acrylic type?)and with what? I only need it to be watertight as I can use the original solid hard top for now untill I can afford to save and buy a replacement. They are incredibly expensive here in the UK!!

You should not even try and repair a broken top, even if it was OK for a while you run the risk of the top coming off the car while in motion and hurting someone.
I'll be interested to know if you find anything. I have a similar chunk broken off one of the back corneres of my top (also acrylic). In my case a crack is propagating across the roof now and it's just a matter of time before it'll need replacement. If you just want a temproary repair, I'd think GE silicone. Whatever you do use will need to be able to take a lot of heat. SIlicone will do that.
I wouldn't think any repair would hold up for long at all. The tops are under a lot of stress and flexing which causes most of them to crack in the first place. Mine happened while just cruising on the highway.
I also agree with the integrity being gone now. If that sucker gets loose, you'ld hate to see it fly off into another vehicle, or worse, a pedestrian.

You don't want to risk injury, death, and lawsuits etc. etc. etc. for a few hundred dollars. Get it replaced.
