Is this for street or track?

I was wondering why are considering a 6 piston caliper. Thats a lot os braking power.

The J55 is good enough for a daily driver. If you run your Vette at higher speed and require better performance, the C5 brake kit is a good choice.

The J55, 13" rotors will fit your 92's sawblades.
The C5 kit requires more clearance. You can use the ZR1-5 Spoke wheel or an aftermarket rim.

Leave the rear brakes alone.

J55 is the factory HD 13" rotor brakes that were optional on 88- 95 cars ; std on '96 cars.
The GS calipers got the Corvette logo on them.

Just change the brake pads to the Hawk HPS. The standard two piston 12" brakes perform fine for a daily driven street Vette.

It sounds like your brake system just needs some regular maintanence.

A complete flush of the brake fluid does wonders.
