my 85 vette running rough when accelerating loading car Found the problem yeah
Hi guys
Well finaly ... i went to a guy in australia who has a scanner !!!
The car shows no codes but shows on the scanner the tps at .54 but it doesnt go higher
thats why my car stumbles when i acelerate .. so i traced the wires to the ecm .. checked all three of them and found they are good to the ecm ...
Now have removed the ecm ... man the soldering is shocking
absolutely terible
Have ordered a new ecm
I have got to get me a scanner ... shows the info that wont show a code ...
If it wasnt for the sealant crap they coated the ecm in i could have easily re done the soldering
So there you go if you have a problem go to some one who has a scanner it will save you heaps of time and money
I had replaced my oxygen sensor , had my injectors tested , set and reset tps .. base idle and checked and rechecked timing ,, ignition leads ,, replaced spark plugs etc etc .. and it was a simple isue that couldnt be found without a scanner ... As the tps showed correct voltages but the ecm didnt see it ,, perhaps a bad solder joint
so i thaught what the heck get a brand new ecm
