I am not much of a mechanic but my horn did not work. After reading some posts I decided I would take a chance to try and change out the horn, turn signal cam. I did some research here on posts that were done a long time ago until somewhat recent and pulled of the air bag, steering wheel, SIR coil and lock plate as instructed from this forum. I completed the job and the horn is working. Thanks guys!

My horn is low sounding, but if it takes the above to change it, I'll live with it.

Nice Job.
If you have a horn that works but is weak like I did on my ’89, try this: Unbolt the horn and spray WD40 liberally into the trumpet. There is a small adjusting screw on the same side of the horn as the plug. Keeping tract of where you start, screw it in and out a turn or two, trying the horn each time. My horns have been working well for several years after I did it.
I need to replace the bushings in my tilt mechanism.
I took out the fuse for the air bags, disconnected the battery, and unpluuged the air bag plug near the base of the steering column under the dash. Took the air bag out and unplugged it then removed.
I just put 2 new horns on mine.
Bought 2 horns a high and a low from advanced for 16 bucks each, they were Famm brand and came with there own mounting brackets.
1)Remove the old horns.
2)Drill out the 2 spots there welded on to remove the factory conecctor.(about 1/8 drill I think)
3)Now on the new horn drill a hole same size thru the conection on the hot conection of the horn.(it already hase a small 1/6 hole you just gotta drill a biger one.
4)Deturmine the hot side of the conector and clean it off.
5)Find a small bolt and nut connect the hot side only horn to connector.
6) Ground the other side to the body.
7)Now you can use the factory conector and only spent 32 bucks on 2 horns.
Note I did this a month ago maybe I missed a size or step but I hope you all get the point.I should have took a pic.I will start taking pics of all my stuff I rig up.
