Hi My 94 just died today, It acted like it was running out of gas, Ive checked the codes via the paper clip trick and using the speedo.
I got codes on mod 1. c12 and on mod 4. h48 can anyone tell me what that means? thanks
12 means your looking for codes, 48 is MAF, mass air flow sensor. That is where to start, it doesnt mean just to replace the MAF. Check plugs, hoses, and look for obstructions. Dont forget to pull the paper clip before you restart it.
Does anyone know why it runs perfect with the maf unhooked and when its hooked up it wont even start? Im lost ive never seen a car do that before. I took the MAF sensor off my 99 SS camaro and put on it and it does the same thing..... crazy
Have you driven it with the maf disconected, or is it running sitting still?
With the MAF hooked up it wont even start, It acts like it is out of gas, It starts just for a sec a dies. When I UNhook the MAF it runs perfect.
I drove it about 3 miles with it unhooked and even drove it hard. It is running better then it ever has... When I hook up the MAF from the 99 ls1 camaro it will start up and run for 1-2 sec before dieing.
