Don't bother with a gear swap unless you intend on going with 4:10's.
This is the ratio the LT-4 should have come with from the factory. I bought my LT-4 new and waited for 10 years before I finally made the change. I wish I had done it back in96'. Also you will run out of hp long before you run out of rpm at top speed. Gas mileage went down about 3mpg, but the car is much more fun and friendly in traffic to drive.
