When you compare the rear calipers and the rotor dimensions, there really isn't a lot of difference between the later C4 and C5 rear brakes. The swept area is about the same.
There may have been a few people that were able to adapt the C5 caliper bracket to fit, one problem is hooking up the parking brakes. You would have to fab up something if you wanted to retain the parking brake.
