I used them on my stock heads and had no problems.

Pros: good spring
Cons: expensive.
I also seem to remember hearing about a bad bunch of I believe it was the 918s from Comp Cams. For a while everyone was saying only buy them from Patriot, but I think that might be all cleared up by now. Worth doing some homework on though before you buy them.

If you break a spring, there's not a second on to keep the valve out of the engine.

Comp Cams original bought from PAC, then found a cheaper supplier, which didn't turn out so well. Pretty sure as well that's it's all cleared up, but I would buy here:

I like the beehive design, but with anything you have to pick the right spring for you application, you can go too strong as well as too weak on valve springs.
Here's a good read from an engineer at Comp Cams.

I've done ~25,000 miles with the 26918 springs. In combination with an AFR Hydrarev kit...turn 7200 rpm on the autocross each month.
I'm a believer when previous 'correctly' matched REV dual springs hit valve float at 6200 rpm with same valvetrain.
LS motors use the design...nuff said.

I'm running steel retainers. I figured I would try these and see if the rpm is there and upgrade if needed. I've not seen a need to upgrade.
Note Ti isn't known for its high durability (ie more 'wear' with cycles/street miles).
