Default '93 headlight question

The headlights on my '93 Vette are acting strange. When the lights are turned on they go up fine but once in the up position the motor seems to move the lights back and forth just a small amount for about 4 or 5 seconds and then stops. The same thing happens when I turn them off and they close. When connecting the battery cable they also do the same thing, motor runs back and forth for a few seconds even though the lights are off. I did a search and found a few threads about how the gel wears out and causes the motor to run but it didn't really sound like the same thing. Has anyone else experienced this?

You need to replace the bushings. Order two kits from your favoite vendor and follow the sticky post above.

Did it to mine and upgraded to bronze gears just in case. But the original nylon gears were in great shape, really didn't need to, could have gone for the $12 fix.
