Well I'm starting to shop around for a create motor and I like what I'm reading about the ZZ4. Has anyone put one in their C4 and what intake are you using? I thinking I would like the TPIS mini-ram on top of it anyone have this combo?

I have a Mini on top of a ZZ4 shortblock. I have aftermarket heads though. The Mini works great.

I have zz4 with stock tpi, Long tube Headers, muffler elims, gutted cat. Much stronger than old stock motor, difinately a noticable difference.
I've got one to. Running it with:
- TPIS long tubes
- magnaflow catback
- Ported Edelbrock base
- Gutted SLP runners
- Gutted Plenium
- 52 maf
- Cut air lid with K&N
- Customer tune
Love it, love it, love it. Much better than stock. Is it going to blow the doors off sports cars on the highway.... No.... It is still a lot of fun to drive though. Great choice for a replacement.
ZZ4 short block that I pulled apart and balanced then put back together. LPE 74211 cam, L6 roller lifters, 1.6 RR, AFR 180 heads (older), SuperRam intake, runners & plenum. Runs well. 28.4 MPG on the highway....ran 13.2 at the track this past summer....think it can do better with a little more tuning.
The ZZ4 block is typical GM small block (set up for roller cam) that you can bolt up most stock/after market heads, intake etc.
I got the short block through SUMMIT, they also have a short block 383 that might interest you.
