Let's ponder what you wrote for a moment, shall we? Referring to 3rd graders, did you graduate and enter the 4th grade because most people know how to correctly capitalize, punctuate and change the word, "do not" to "don't." You changed it to, "dont." In addition, I do not believe that the OP was not rigid or not flexible as you indicated. You wrote that he was a "looser", which if translated, means that he was everything listed immediately above. Something tells me that the OP is not loose. And lastly, when beginning a sentence, the word is always capitalized.

Instead of referring to a "line" [as you put it] emanating from a 3rd grader, I suggest you brush up on your use of the English language. I graduated high school at sixteen. Did you?

Also, just to help you out a bit, because I like to help those in need, the Forum frowns upon posting, "Fixed" threads and/or threads whereupon the writer uses admonitions toward other members. I only wrote what I did herein solely to help you to become a better and more cogent writer. It wasn't meant to castigate or chastise you over the use of your chosen words. I would never do that. Like I stated; I'm only trying to help you.

Wow! There are enough $10 words in this thread to fund my new 1.6 rr's.

The more limiting entities there are the less gain you will see.
On stock engine it is not very much but the air is etter distributed throughthe throttle body. So it is more a psychological mean on stock 86 engineor TPI engines
Easy for you to say...

I’m sure the principles of an air foil would come from testing and air flow modeling and have sound engineering. However with that said I also doubt its effectiveness on a car driven at highway speeds under every day conditions. If you buy an after market Throttle Body the piece comes with it machined in. If you don’t care about spending money get one just understand you will not see any gain in performance from it. You are better off just cutting the lid on your air box, and that costs nothing.

There's one installed on my car. Whether or not it makes a difference, I don't know. I do know it's not coming off any time soon.

I think if you could grind that flat spot into a airfoil, everyone would be doing it. As for the effectiveness, only a dyno could tell. I believe TPIS has done this. There claim is that their airfoil is the only one that works. Full diclosure...I have a Mid America one and have ground the humps flat in my plenum....big difference? I doubt it.

good enough for me. ive got one (car came with it a wierd plastic one that actually is placed in the air duct) and I dont care because its my car. So if you want one put it on its your car anyway and I dont see how its going to hurt your car anyway. Aftermarket throttle bodies have them built in so they must do something...some of you guys are too hard on noobs..geez they are noobs for a reason. thats why we are here to be able to guide them down the right path!!! If the op never asked that question he would probably end up at some vette meet and brag how he has a airfoil and everyone will look at him like if he were stupid. Stop being a bunch of d***s (those that bash on noobs) and just answer his question.
