What did I miss or do wrong?
I had the gas lines off. Would that have anything to do with (air in line or does that just get push back to the tank by the return line) it almost feels like a fuel problem.
I'm no mech. I just want to do what ever I can by myself. Thats what I get for trying. BTW it is a 1990 L-98 6 sp.
And ran fine before I started fuel inj. Are a yr old and it was going to get a tune up next if i get this fixed.
Also I saw on line to put dilectric under all the grounds to ground them better is this right or could that be my problem. Thank you guys. Please help.
Its been off the road for 3 wks and I am in need of some fun
There...... Thats better.
Most of us will agree that helping other CF'rs is easier when we can understand what your trying say.
Seems to me that your problem is not fuel related, but may be timing or a vacuum leak. Might try looking at all the lines and determine if any have been left disconnected or were damaged during your maintenance. The hard plastic lines are easily cracked when handled.
Can you describe why you disconnected the fuel lines?
Also please help me understand what this means; "And ran fine before I started fuel inj. Are a yr old and it was going to get a tune up next if i get this fixed."

First off check all vaccume hoses for leaks. I would change the plugs and wires because of the way you described them. Change 1 at a time as to not mess up the order! Thats just my 2 cents.

A dielectric material is a substance that is a poor conductor of electricity. You don't need or want it under the grounds.
that has to be quite a large vac leak to have that big of an effect.. like the brake boost hose. how about the OP list out what he has double check for us..
hay jrriflecoach put a , between starter and fuel and maybe you can get it, how many posts on this forum are about help and how many are about ripping everybody a new one because we all are not english majors, myself also, sorry for the cut on beans i of all people should know better than to cut others for my same problems i have, just let me know if i am not good enough for you and i will take my questions else where.now if you want to help and not be my 7th grade english teacher the fuel lines were taken off to remove the a/c bracket to paint it and get the rocker cover off to paint.i found one of the small vac. hoses that runs behind the top hose housing is cracked ,is that enough to make it run that bad.and after i clean off the grease should i just put it on top.sorry to everyone for getting pissy but is it not about the cars and helping people. i do appreciate the help and will let you know what i find out
i was told to do that because the air bag light was on and to do that to clean an reseal it because chevy did not do that on 1990 and started in 1991 because of the light coming on ....wrong ,you tell me thanks

A loose vacuum line did not cause what he describes.

I don't know about the rest but I can understand everything you are saying. I don't see what their problem is, but don't lose any sleep over it.
It has nothing to do with English majors. The lack of line breaks, spacing, and capitalization makes your post difficult to read and comprehend. It is not about misspelled words. Those of us that don't read "text speak" have a hard time.
You are looking for help. We want to help you. Help us help you.

Who is they? In reality, the grease will ooze out under pressure. But why put it there in the first place? A better plan is to put the grease over the installed ground to guard against corrosion.

This is a long shot but it happened to me when I did almost the same work on the cooling system. Check to be sure that you have the Mass Airflow Sensor connected back correctly. What happened to me was that I did not disconnect the MAS when I took it off to do the work. Somehow the one of the wires got separated in the connector when I laid it aside and it looked OK but was not connected at all. When I repaired the connection at the connector it ran like a dream. Again, just a long shot.

Should you find a cracked line I have found using rubber vacuum hose to be a suitable repair medium. Keep looking as others may also be damaged.
As for your written English, I meant to help by translating your original post. Some of the noobs here type like they're texting. Personally I find texting abbreviations difficult to cypher and understand. Thus our understanding of your problem becomes complicated.
