In a street application I would recommend the Red Line 75W90, it
contains 5% friction modifier and would be suitable for all around
use as well as drag racing.
In a drag race car that is being trailer to the track, the ShockProof
Heavy would be my recommendation, it contains 3% friction modifier
and will give a little more lock up.
The ShockProof lubes are primarily used for racing and speciality
applications and aren't recommended for all around street use, our
other lubes are better suited to the broader range of temperatures
encountered on the street.
Thank you for your interest in Red Line Oil.
I wish they stated this in the add on their site. Now I have to drain it again. But I'd rather drain it than blow it up :D :D
I just had that gear set you sold me installed. Since my 96 only has 20K miles, all I needed was the gear and install kit. Thanks.
Back to the point, I installed a drain plug in my 44 case, and when I fill the diff back up, I'll use Mobil1 and a bottle of friction modifier.
