checking codes on a 1990
I read on a website codes are displayed through the speedo and odometer and also use module codes. So does the check engine not flash to display what codes are set? I am mainly interested in finding out why I have esc/est issues. Now what do they mean about modules?
can someone please link a very accurate website on doing this kinda don't want to screw this car up anymore then it already is.
I also have airbag light issues as well so code retrieval on that would be helpful as well.
I also had a brief abs service light but not sure if that was caused by running the rear tires to 30mph and fronts not moving.

well I can without a doubt say I seriously suck at doing this code retrieval thing. I am uncertain what I did but did manage to wake up the neighbor because in diagnostic mode I was pressing buttons and the oil light flashed then the security light then all of a sudden the dam horn starts going off.
So think I'm taking it to chevy to do diagnostics on this thing.
