I have an 86 Coupe and an 85 parts car. I grabbed the master cylinder to swap, but the 85 is different in a couple ways. The first and most noticeable is that the older unit has dual resevoirs and mine, along with the 87's had single. I figured the dual resevoir master cylinder would be better, being that they switched back to dual resevoir master cylinders in 88 and it stayed that way for the duration of the C4's.
The second difference is what is keeping me from bolting it up. There are 2 lines on mine, one for the front, one for the rear. The 85 had a third line underneath it towards the front. What is this line for and can I just plug up the hole with a short bolt? My cylinder is starting to leak from the backside, as they usually do over time and I was wondering if I can get away with using the 85's cylinder and not have to wait the 2 weeks it would take to get a new one out here in Japan.
Thanks
Chris
