Default Front Spoiler Attachment Pictorial

Here's a series of pictures plus a diagram from the 1989 Service Manual showing the attachment of the three front spoilers and the spacer in front the my 89's lower intake. (Sorry about the lack of real definition. I forgot that my Dark Charcoal Gray Metallic paint was going to be this dark even with lighting & flash photography! )

This is the factory service manual blow-up of front end

This is one of the two attachment end points for the spacer.

This is a picture of the one of the four end screws & washers for attaching the spacer.

This is the upper attachment bracket for the spacer shown in the relative position it would attach to the spacer.

This is the upper backet by itself. Note that the short end on the left sits on top the the space while the longer end on the right attaches to the upper mounting point in the grill opening.

This is a picture of the lower attachment bracket for the spacer. A bolt thru the upper backet screws into the j-nut.

The big thing to remember is that the center spoiler attached over the lip of the inlet to the radiator cavity with while the side spoilers attach to the bottom of the front fascia and thread upwards into the attachment plates.

Hope this helps!
