Default The dreaded heater core!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!

I have a 95 with a.c. and air bags. Looks like I gotta REPLACE the heater core. Need info on getting the dash pad off and what precautions to take with the passenger side air bag. Most info i find doesn't talk about a 95 with this scenario. Can someone please give some good advice on replacing this myself, do I remove the dash or not and do I remove the pass. seat? Help!!!! Thanks brent317

I personally have not had to replace my hc yet thank the Gods, and my '93 has only a driver's side air bag. Here's a bump for you though....ttt

I think ohio is cooler than calif.

If you do get someone who has gone through this, maybe they can post pics.

Here are instructions for early C4 heater core replacement. I suspect some of this may apply to your 95 Vette; check it out.

Do what he says.

In the meantime look for the 1995 GM Corvette Shop Manuals on ebay. Once you get em, it's a walk in the park. The maunual will show you step by step on how to do this heater core change.

I have to do the same on my 90, I don't have the passenger airbag to deal with though.

I agree with the midwest statement, mine is bypassed, and it was cool enough the other night that a heater core would have come in handy in defrosting the windows. It was fifty some degrees driving into work this morning... of course I was driving it in the Jeep with no top...

Going to have to do this sooner rather than later I think. I should take pictures.
