Thanks guys.

I think I have 2 or 3 bottle of that Sea foam in the garage....lol I used it to clean to carbs on my old KZ1000 a few years ago.

Jaa1992, I will read that but its only once in a while and it is getting even more and more infrequent.

I would suggest just doing the tuneup and changing all fluids and drive for say 6 - 8 months. If nothing further comes up needing repair then move on to improvements. On the gears, I have a auto with 2.73's and am looking to change - I've had mine for a couple of years but I would wonder on a manual how 4:56's would do - might cause a lot of shifting around town but just a thought. I had them in a old 57 many years ago and loved them with just a 4spd - with a six they might be the bomb both in town and on highway. I'm assuming you got the 6 spd to shift and enjoy so why not!!

Those are the two additives I recommend too. In fact, I have Sea Foam in my gas tank right now.

Here is my plan for parts to order this weekend. I havent had time to do anything with the car because of school. 3 tests in a week along with 4 quizes, 3 home work assignments, and 2 other papers! WTF? lol

I am going to order the MSD opti-spark (unless there is a better one?) just because, while I have it off I am going to change the water pump too as well. I am going to change my plugs, wires, air filter (and clean the entire air intake system out), and take the TB off and replace all the gaskets. I also want to get a good working knowledge for how that stuff goes on and comes off.......

A friend of mine says he would help me change heads, cam, intake....etc and tune it (he has software and access to a dyno!) if I so desire. Although his idea is to take the entire engine out and build a 383 stroker along with the LT4 top end kit......somehow he doesnt think that I need to pay for 3 more semesters of school!

Oh, took it too school today and got LOTS of looks and a group of girls at the gym really liked it. One wanted to drive it and I had to tell her that the only girl that drives it is my girl friend.

Not sure which ones I am going with, I need to change them on my dads 93 vette as well.
Cause you have to cut them and put them together. If people are ending up with longs / shorts they needs some practice

I have MSD 8.8s on my car and have had ZERO issues with them. Now granted it is a big time sink putting them together

I chose to go the route of buying a set already made to the correct lengths at the factory. Eliminated the aggravation of cutting and crimping which, in past, has always lead to a less than desirable connection.

That type may cost a few dollars more but, for me, well worth it.
