Default Flywheel Bolts

I would like to replace the DM Flywheel bolts on my 94,
I understand them to be 7/16 x 20 thread by 1 3/4 inch underhead length

Called Summit (They dont have) ARP does not make this length

Called Scoggins Dickey ( Nothing in stock GM discontinued)

Called ARP Special orders department to see if they know anything.

Anyone know where I can find these?

Pete, Do you, by chance, have the part number? Thanks!

BTW, Did you find a new Dual Mass Flywheel at GM Parts Direct?

Make sure you get the bolts with the smaller 12 point heads; the regular hex head (3/4" ) won't let you get a socket on due to the bolt pattern being closer to the crank hub on 1 pce seal cranks.

Default Still Searching...

Got a e-mail from GM Parts Direct that they no longer have the Flywheel Bolts. ARP does not have them. I may try Carolina Clutch.

I have found them at Fastenal. The factory bolts have about .75 inch of solid area under the head of the bolt before the threading starts. The Fastenal bolts are fully threaded all 1.75 inches. Plus made in Taiwan. I am debating on whether to use the Fastenal bolts on my car... Opinion?

Have you tried your local dealer yet? I got a set back at the beginning of the year from mine- they had to order them in, but at least the local warehouse they get stuff from had 'em. I saw the same thing - no aftermarket availability. Maybe it's time to go to ARP and ask if they'll make 'em?

I tried local dealer. Out of stock. I would call ARP again but it looks like I am going to pull the Dual Mass off the car and install a Solid Billet Steel Flywheel. The Flywheel kit from Carolina Clutch comes with a set of bolts to fit that unit to the motor.

Just wondering, how did your project turn out, because I'm in the same situation. Or, was. A friend made a set of bolts for me from a used one I gave him. They're rated at 185,000 psi. They will being mfg them if there's a demand.
