Here are the specs for the cam I have installed. You could install a bigger cam, mine is CA legal. Contact LLoyd Elliot at Elliot Portworks for all your needs

Here are few pictures from yesterday's MISHAP

Torque oil pressure gauge sensor to 106 lbs in

Now, ENSURE you install an oil filter before you prime the engine...

...If you don't something like this could happen to you. This is a photochop not like it happened to me

LT4 is now primed and ready for intake manifold

I'll continue this weekend

More pictures, almost there

Torque oil pump driveshaft bolt to 18 lb ft.

To install intake, clean all surfaces with brake cleaner or fast dry agent

I used 600 grit sand paper to help RTV adhere to the block and intake.

RTV

Apply thread sealant to all intake bolts.

First pass torque all bolts to 71 lb in. Use sequence illustrated in the FSM.
Second pass torque to 35 lb ft. I found all bolts adjusting until the fourth pass to 35 lb ft.

Install Opti and torque to 106 lb in.

This is the bottom right water pump bolt. It is exposed to coolant.

Apply thread sealant

Torque engine bracket bolts to 41 lb ft.

AC Rapid Fire gap to .050 and marked for index.

The open gap should be facing the CC.

Install the correct cap. Pack come with three different caps, follow instructions.

Perfect Torque spark plugs to 15 lb ft.

The driver's side was not bad, all passenger's side spark plugs were facing the piston.

Installed Magnecor spark plug conductors. Manufacturer directs not to use dielectric grease.

It is easier to plug the connectors then install the power steering pump. Torque PS bolts to 18 lb ft.

Torque coil bolts to 30 lb ft.

Torque all PS brackets to 30 lb ft.

Torque the valve covers' studs to 106 lb in.

Torque the valve covers' bolts to 106 lb in.

New oil cap

Torque the oil lever indicator tube (dipstick) to 106 lb in.

Torque Happy Hooker to 89 lb in

Install the AIR lines, FSM instructs to torque the two-10mm bolts to the intake manifold to 19 lb ft
but, it didn't feel right so I stopped. They are tight.

I'm stopping for tonight. It was a nice day in SoCal, tomorrow I'll be installing the rack and pinion and would drop the
engine. I'll be watching the TV show Sons of Anarchy.

Happy Halloween

Installed the rack & pinion. Torque the main bolt to 30 lb ft and the clamp bolts to 18 lb ft. Torque the steering column bolt to 30 lb ft.

Torque PS cooling bolts to 86 lb in.

Get Ready-

Get Set-

Go

LT4 is back in

Don't let this pictures fool you. It not that easy, the engine doesn't just drop/fit in.

If this engine do not work or anything goes bad after all this time, work, cuts, chunks taken out of my hands and money I may go insane.

Thanks I enjoy taking pictures, it would help a member on his future project/build up. I got to say thank you to Jim, Mike and many others because their pictures and posts had helped me to start and maintain this project going. The FSM is great but it does not tell you about steps that may go wrong, experience and it do not cover modifications. A good example is the grinding required on the block for oil flow if you install AFR heads in a LT engine, headers, etc, etc. I learned that in here .

Thanks to the pictures posted in here I was able to pull the engine, disassemble it, assemble it and drop it back in the engine bay!!
