OK, I can't figure it out. My forward window brace on my 93 has broken. The part that serves as a "stop" seared off and now my window comes way up past where it's supposed to. I took the door panel off and the foam paneling behind it. Where do I go from there? I can't figure out if how to get to the inside of the door to unbolt the plastic piece that holds the window (it also follows a rail up and down). How do I get in there to replace it?
Any help would be great!
Thanks.

gee... page karshop(his email is karshop@msm.com)... he has a corvette recycling bizness near lakeland.
I bought a small part from him and he delivered right on!! I have heard a lot of positives about him... this is good, considering some of the garbage that has been going on...
note that I said - small - if he delivers as promissed on the little stuff, it makes me think he will deliver on the big stuff.
No... not really. I just did'nt read you question correctly... oops.
there is a bracket up there, and it sounds like you need a new one.
it is in the upper corner, above the latch. kinda behind the outside door handle. its a strange looking thingy. a goldish coloured bracket thing. For some reason, I think it may be part of the regulator. I don't know if that is a seperate part...
as the window comes up, it runs into this pin. the pin causes the window to seal back into the top, too... so it does more than just limit the upper movement.
Thanks Andy, any help is appreciated.
Now, back to the main subject. I need to find out how to replace the FORWARD plastic piece that actually holds the window, it has a "stop" that keeps it from going all the way up. It also rides up and down on a type of rail.
AGAIN, how do I get to the inside of the door??? I know the part that I need, I just need to find out how to get to the bottom part of the window itself. The parts that actually HOLD and BRACE the window.

Bogus,
Yup, you're on the money. It's up by the mirror. There's a bolt thet goes through the plastic piece and through the window. The stop on the plastic piece has broken off. I looked at it today and the whole piece is about ready to break, it's cracked all around the bolt. There's no doubt I'll have to replace the whole thing soon. I know it's going to be a P.I.T.A., but it needs to be done. Please let me know what you find out. You can probably email me, if you don't mind. I'll be out of town and return the 28th.
Thanks again.
There must be a window disease going around, I just had to replace the same piece last night. If you lower your window about six inches you should be able to get at the little plastic piece through an opening in the door. Mine was kind of a pain to get off since there was loctite on the threads. I had to squeeze a small screwdriver behind the window to hold the piece that the broken guide was attached to so I could unbolt it. I also had to monkey around adjusting the window height once the new guide was installed. The new piece was only about $10 at the local Chevy dealer.
