Brian, you are back near Boston again? Find a local marine rebuilder and get that thing rebuilt for $50.00. It will be fine, and you don't have to worry about different shims.

If you have a part number, you can search it that way, no matter what year. Also, if you send them an email, and give the your VIN and a part description, they will email you a part number and price. So far, every part number I had that I knew shop cost on, they have been able to beat..... :cheers: :flag

the corvette uses a Mistubish starter. all you need are new contacts... if I known that, for $10.00, I coulda rebuilt mine, too...

Make sure you price GM Parts Direct AFTER they have added shipping. They charge some outrageous shipping costs and you can get better prices through Jeff Kopp or even The Last Detail.
