Thin head gasket for an LT1
Anyone know where I can get thin head gaskets for an LT1? Looking for .029 compressed. I had read that I could use the Impala gasket, so I got some from Jeff Kopp. When I set them on the block there's a hole that opens up a water passage to the lifter valley, so these won't work. They are PN -10105117. Is there a different PN for what I need - 95 LT1?

Check with Felpro and GM.
Both sell of head gaskets for the LT1 with different compression heights.

Ask Jeff to make sure he sent you the right ones. The Impala gaskets (I think) are .026 compressed and should work fine. What water jacket opening do they expose :confused:

Thanks guys, I called Jeff earlier and he straightened everything out. The 10105117 gasket is the thin gasket for a regular small block. The Impala gasket is 12553160 and it works great.
