What I found is the uniqueness of the '84, having smaller flanges and bolts for caliper mounts. Adapter plates will fit but hardly anyone will recommend drilling those holes larger to accommodate larger brakes.

That said, perhaps Hawk pads will do the trick, depending on what you plan to do with the car.
