I was driving with the heat on slightly in my 1986 with electronic climate control. I turned the car off and the heater motor was still on. I turned the car on again, checked the control, pushed the off button but the motor was still turning. I unplugged the green and red wired from the relay under the hood to make it stop.
The electronic climate control was just replaced about 2 years ago. All of the functions work. The light for "off" even goes on when it is pushed.
I know that it is an electrical issue that needs to be trased. I guess I am venting on one level, looking for sympathy on another level, and most important...hoping for help and results!
See if there is any voltage on the brown wire on the blower control module which is mounted on the top of the evaporator housing next to the motor when the ign is off. It should be zero. If not, the heater/ac controller is defective again. If zero and motor runs, ign off, then the blower control module is defective.
