Default Minor Electrical Problems

I just bought a 1990 L98. Three of the warning indicator lights won't go out: Oil Change Light, Seatbelt Light, and Airbag Light. According to Repair sheets I got with the car, this has been the case for many years. The Owner's Manual instructions don't turn off the Oil Change Light. How do I shut them off and keep them from coming back on?

Secondly: I have the sport seats. The righthand lumbar control switch (with the three black buttons) won't depress on either seat and the black buttons don't seem to do anything. Is there a quick fix for this, or do I have to replace the switch mechanism ($129 ea per catalogue.) Thanks.... Ksch994462

90's have a known issue with the ground for the SIR sensors, the link below describes it on a ZR1 but it should work for your car as well.

http://www.zr1netregistry.com/Old_Proj/old_proj7.htm

Oil change light procedure copied below, if it does not work you will need to trouble shoot using the FSM, if you do not yet have one it will be the best investment you can make for repairing your own vehicle, good luck.

Oil Change Light Shut-Off Procedure

1. Turn the key to the RUN position but don't start the engine.
2. Press the ENG MET button on the Trip Monitor. Within 5 seconds press the ENG MET button again.
3. Within 5 seconds of step 2, press and hold the GAUGES button on the Trip Monitor. The CHANGE OIL light will flash.
4. Hold the GAUGES button until the CHANGE OIL light stops flashing and goes out. This should take about 10 seconds. When the light goes out, the Engine Oil Life Monitor is reset. If it doesn't reset, turn the ignition to OFF and repeat
procedure.
