My 700R4 has been lazy downshifting since I had the fluid and filter changed. What can go wrong with this job? It was not a flush but a standard drop the pan change the filter reinstal pan and add fluid. Is there anything they would disconnect other than the filter and not reconnect right? They are putting on a new TV cable today. I tried adjusting it to factory spec in the FSM but the cable will not rachet out unless I hold the button in. It seems to shift softer and downshifts are poor in firmness and downshift points are non existant for anything over 60 mph in D or OD. Could it have the wrong fluid?
Lacking any good ideas are there any good trnasmission shops near Groton CT???

All I can say is don't drive it if the TV cable is not properly adjusted. Ask me how I know! (tranny rebuiild) Probably you shift problems are caused by that maladjusted cable. I don't understand how they could have ruined your cable doing a simple drop of the pan but I guess it seems incompetence rains supreme.
If the filter change triggered it, I would start there. Perhaps the o-ring is not sealing in the pump bore. O-ring may be bad, or they may have gouged the pump bore prying out the old one.
The filter could be defective. I have seen that hapen a couple of times.
Sorry to offend and did not mean to but that all looked fine as I took it from the dealer and pulled the pan myself and took your advice I should have added that in.. The reason I asked about line pressure to see if that would eliminate the task of tearing it apart. The dealers fix was to set the TV cable all the way in and raise line pressure I guess by doing that but it delayed upshifts big time. The only way I can get on both old and new TV cable ratchet out is to press the release button and FSM does not indicate this is needed.. Any help would be appreciated as i don't want to burn up the trasmission..
