Default A quick C4 question

Hi folks, I recently bought a plain old 1995 C4. So far so good, a much better car IMO than it is typically given credit for being.

Anyways, question: What are the stock wheel widths? I've seen some aftermarket sets come with 8.5" front and 9.5" rear, others 9.5" all around. I bought the car with an aftermarket set of ZR1 width tires/wheels (9.5" f, 11" r) and want to go back to stock.

Thanks-

Why????
Stock was the 8.5 front 9.5 rear, probably 245 on the front and 275 or 285 on the rear

Good Question! Most love the 11's with 315's in the rear! I would guess that he does not like the way the 11's are sticking outside of the body work in the rear. I did not like the look on mine so I bought the GS flares! Just a guess... or maybe he is one of the 10-15% who like the salad shooters!? Different strokes for different folks!

Mine is a 93 and I'm pretty sure it was the same for 95...It's 8.5 front with 255/45/17 and 9.5 rear with 285/40/17.

Just a thought but if you are going to change why not go 9.5" all around.
It looks good and handles well and at least you can rotate tires front to back.

I had a set of original CE 9.5" wheels on all four corners of my 94 for years. They are great wheels and look nice too. They fit nicely with no rubbing at any points.

That is a good set up. Rotating expensive tires only makes sense. But then again, 315's on the back looks so damn nice!

BTW, marrying a fat chick who cooks good makes sense too? Just not to me!

As far as stock this should answer your questions.
http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...usp_chart.html

I have a 94 and am about to put 18x10.5 (295/35-18) all the way around (as soon as I can afford the rubber). I got a deal on the wheels but did not realize how much the tires were going to be. I wanted to be able to rotate them.

My 95 was purchased new with the above quoted wheel and tires sizes

Thanks for all the responses.

FYI - I am keeping the 9.5/11.5 wheel set to use at the track. I went to my local track ( Summit Point, WV) last weekend and was pleased with what is on there (Eagle F1). No sense killing those tires on the street so I am getting a second set of wheels for the street at stock width and less aggressive (cheaper) tires. The wheels I have now are GrandSport knockoffs from Zip and I like the way they look. I may go with a ZR1 knockoff as my other set. So many choices......

And yes, I think the 315s on the back stick out too far and look dorky
