Now there's an idea. I never would have thought of that. I've come up with at least 30 different weights listed for my car so far. I think I'll trust what's on the door if it's there.
Check carefully, how that weight on the door sticker is labled. I THINK that it refers to the maximum weight rating, not "curb" weight. That means the most it is rated to carry with passenger, luggage, etc. Depending on what you want to use this number for, maybe weighing the car is a better choice. My drag strip opens it's scales for some of the bigger events, where certain classes have weight requirements of restrictions. They'll weigh the car for free. If that isn't convient or practical, there is always the truck stop. Or maybe you need the factory "curb" number for a reason not obvious to me.
I wanted to find the exact weight of my car so I took it down to the local truck stop, and paid the lady $5.00 to put it on her certified scales. Now I know exactly how much my car weighs with the options it has and 1/2 tank of gas.
Just a suggestion,

From responses I have gotten on boards and looking through old mag tests , it seems that LT1 6spd Corvettes will range from around 3325 to around 3400 fully loaded (with spare) and full of all fluids. Most seem to be around the 3365lb range.
A 95 Z28 M6 will range from around 3350 to around 3450 depending on how well optioned it is . The options that add most weight are T-tops or convertible . If the car has what you indicated and has T-tops , it is most likely very near 3450. Convertibles are closer to 3600.....
I don't know if this will help. After I had my supercharger installed I took my 96 down to the scales and had it weighed... $6.00
With about a half tank of gas me in the car (165 lbs). I have manual seats and no climate control either. The supercharger about 50 pounds. My trans is an A4
The car weighed a total of 3420
1860 front axle.. and 1560 rear
I asked them to split weigh the car so I could see how much the extra weight in the front was going to effect the handling as well as I wanted the front / rear ratio to calculate weight transfer etc.
I hope this helps you a little bit, unless you actually weigh the car it's like fishing with dynomite.
I found people at the public scales to be quite friendly. If your not needing a certification many times they'll just weight it and not charge...
i would agre with you the climate control probably is no more than the "less expensive " slide contol. I only addressed it as Nathan had specified it in his post.
