1984 Fuel Filter Replacement

Exactly what size wrenches will I need to remove the filter? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. I am assuming this can't be done with adjustable wrenches?

I'm not sure what size you'll need, but make sure you use flare nut wrenches. They prevent the nuts from getting rounded off

If I recall it is a 10MM, May be 12.. I don't recall but it is one of those
You will need a flat screwdriver for the hose clamps.. Might want to change the hoses while your there, It's a 3/8" fuel line..

Doesn't the 84 fuel filter just have rubber hoses with clamps on them on each end? The 85 and up has the nuts on them.

I have an 84 and it has the hose clamps, & there is a holder that goes around the fuel filter itself & bolts to the side wall right bye the jack area on the passenger side of the car..

two hose clamps and a bolt holding the filter brace is all there is - i changed mine today - $10 filter- little mess and ready to go - probably a 10 minute job
