the other day my ABS service light was off, normally it is on! hence why it doesn't work!
anyway i was driving and noticed when i pressed the brakes they were pulsing! but i was only applying very light brake pressure! this happened only twice or so, and then the ABS service soon light came back on!
My question is if a caliper is not functioning normally can it cause the ABS to send a warning code?
i am guessing it is the back brakes not working properly, as the caliper can creek sometimes when i push the brake(i can only hear it when engine off, not sure any other time)
I am going to get them checked out by my mechanic, but just curious on your thoughts?
Have you looked inside the ABS compartment in the cargo area behind the driver's seat? On verts it's under the speaker. For some odd reason, this comparment on mine keeps flooding up with water and soaking the electronics even with no rain. I had to leave one of the bottom ABS motor mounting bolts out for drainage to prevent this.
I think ABS code storage began with '90. Pulling the codes would be the easiest route.
