Default Rim and Tire Size question

I am looking at buying some new rims, 17x9.5 & 18x10.5, for my 95 and was wondering what tire I should run to keep the diameter of the tire as close to stock as possible.

Would 255/40/17s on the front and 295/35/18s on the rear work?

Any info would be great

Are you interested in maybe a used (but nice) set of original '96 CE wheels with Goodyear Eagle (high performance) tires? I am replacing mine, and they are just sitting there gathering dust.

You can save a LOT of money by getting these rims, because they are going cheap.

Let me know.

If you scroll all the way down on this page http://www.joby.se/corvette/div/corvette_wheels/ you will find a nice tire calculator.
