Ca smog for c4's, what's different?
I have a '77, and have been looking at some c4s as something to use for driving to and from work. The gas mileage will be much better than the setup in the c3, (and I'm also trying to sell it). Some of the cars I've looked at are in Nevada. What sort of problems will I run into in order to pass smog? Most likely with '85s?

If you live in Ca. it would be easier to buy one in Ca. The seller is required to have the car smog legal. When ever I sell a car here in Ca. I always get the smog check done prior to selling.

Also, when buying a vehicle in California, the Seller is Required to have the vehicle pass the emissions test prior to selling the vehicle. Don't agree to buy the vehicle if the owner didn't take it in for the emissions test.
Also, if the owner says he already did the smog test 6 months ago, the emissions test are only good for 90 days. The vehicle will have to pass the emissions test again.
