Corsa wins all exhaust polls, Hurst wins the shifter polls. That doesn't mean Corsa or Hurst is better, just that more forum members like them. (Disclaimer, I have Corsa and Hurst on my 96).
I was scared away from the Ripper by all the rattling stories posted here. I've never seen a single beef from a Hurst owner, speaks volumes to me. Best bet is to try both and choose (disclaimer, I purchased the Hurst without any idea how it would work out, what can I say, I'm just a member of the herd :) )
I've had both the B&M Ripper, and the Hurst. I LOVED the ripper, but wasnt able to shift as quickly, being that the shifts are so firm. I have the Hurst now. The Hurst is much more conservative, and should have been the factory shifter to begin with. This is one modification that REALLY depends on personal taste.
B&M claims the ripper reduces throw by 40% and let me tell you it does. Granted the Ripper isn't for the weak armed but as far as not being able to shift fast, now way. It took a week for my foot to finally cath up with my arm.

Actually, B&M's statement is confusing. The Ripper reduces the throw to 40% of stock. That's a 60% decrease in throw.
