I believe the OP found a "solution" over 4 1/2 years ago.
If you've still got the Pirelli P7000 you're certainly lacking for traction. I don't believe that's been available in a 315/35R17 for a very long time. Very long time!

Yes, but if you have a 6 speed, you will have to change the driveshaft.
If you have a A4 and stock engine, you are not going to get any MPG and you will be running over 3k rpm's on the highway.
I am looking at gears also, my thoughts are you should do some research first, if you are looking to make it a stoplight warrior only, then get the gears, if it is your DD, then your wallet is going to stay a lot lighter.

id put my auto up against any standard . they can be built to shift flawlesly and faster than any 6 speed . and mine is good for 800 hp the original trans for that car too . i love standard i would own nothing but im sure but my clutch leg is screwed.
