Unless something obvious like a map light was on, your best first step is to determine of there is a draw on the battery while it is sitting. You can use a voltmeter at the battery to determine if there is an abnormal draw. If there is, disconnect fuses one at a time to see if it's in one of those systems. Sometimes it's as simple as that to find it. Search the forum for additional posts on battery drain or draw, I think I've seen a few.
thanks for thr replys,i put in a new battery and fired right up done a code search and showed no codes now i need to find what is killing the battery, i will do some volt test on it today and see if i get anything, what is the best way to check for volt drop..
Don't rule out a bad battery. I once got a new one that was dead after two or three days. Would charge up OK but just could not hold a charge. (Never had this problem with the old I was replacing). After much screaming with the service manager I got a replacement which worked just fine.

Harbor Freight clamp on ammeters are ONLY for ac, they will not measure dc current. What you should have done with your other battery was to charge it up, or at least charge it for 1/2 to 1 hour and then try the boost, but even if it did start you should always charge up a discharged battery all the way which takes at least overnight. Your car may have excess leakage current, but first you need to check at night for underhood lights, vanity mirror lights, door map lights, rear view mirror map light, console light. Do you have a GPS, radar detector, CB, aftermarket alarm, audio amp, radio? Check em.
GM says leakage current should not exceed 50 milliamps, my 87 has no battery problems and its leakage current is 27 ma. To measure leakage current you need VOM (voltmeter, ohmeter, milliameter) and Harbor Freight does sell an $8 one that is very good. You measure current by removing the neg battery cable and connect an ammeter from the battery terminal to the cable lug. Remove the courtesy light fuse so you can open the passenger door and remove fuses one at a time while watching your ammeter. You may find a fuse that dramatically drops leakage current and that circuit will require further investigation to find the source of current.
