comming from the front (underneath) looks like mobil 1. I read something a EGR valve working could cause a oil leak. After I bought it I had it inspected and failed emissions in Pa. they put in a new EGR. Did you ever here about this EGR oil thing ?

Likely, a front oil leak it's/are the balancer/opti/water pump oil seals. Most of us learn to live with them. Clean the crossmember up and go back for an inspection.
The EGR is mounted on the rear of the intake. Who the F told you a front oil leak is the EGR's fault?
Later on you can fix this problems with new parts. There are hundreds of threads on "how to or DIY" this project.
I have a oil leak up front,I'm thinking one of the 3 seals in the timing cover.
Mine never leaks on the ground but the cross member is always oily.
I guess I will fix it one day when I pull the water pump and opti off.Maybe when I put new wires on.
I hope it's not the gasket on the timing cover because I here the pan must be droped slightly to replace that.
It could also be a simple valve cover gasket leak and the drips are making their way down the front of the engine. Couldn't hurt to check if it is there.
Like pappy said, it could be a bad valve cover gasket or you may need to re-torque them. Also, it could be the notorious intake manifold leak. The front and rear seals tend to go and will leak oil, especially when it's hot.
Try tightening the valve covers and doing an inspection to the front and back of the intake manifold.

I've never heard of that but have heard of a faulty PCV system causing oil leaks. How bad is your leak?Monitor oil level to verify.Oil leak from front could be from timing cover, timing cover seals(3),oil pan gasket, intake manifold gasket(unlikely),or possible oil cooler lines.Keep us updated.
Rear: passenger side valve cover. If you're unlucky and that's not it check the back of the intake (as per STL94LT1).
Front: Timing cover
To be clear, however, LT motors LEAK. There is no getting around it. Mine leaks after a fresh rebuild. If it's only a few drops after you pull it in the garage at night you're fine, put some cardboard down. If it's a larger pool, like more than a couple of inches diameter on the floor after sitting overnight, you probably need to fix it.
I was adding headers to my 94 and removed EGR system to find the source of my rear oil leak was my intake gasket. I also found a very small oil leak on the front side of intake. Most people have told me timing chain cover in the front but mine was wet over the Opti.
The intake manifold will leak at the front and back in the valleys. The front leak will make you think it is the timing cover etc. The rear leak will run off the cross member and look like a rear main seal leak. Get some brake cleaner and clean the area up real good then sprinkle some talcum powder (baby powder) and drive the car and look for signs of the powder getting wet. That will show you were the leak is.
