My tranny wiring harness is bad :(. It was shorting out (so my mechanic says - and i trust). I was supposed to be driving it home from the shop right now ... looks like another delay. He said I should have it by 6pm... we'll see! :(
And another DOH for the weather this weekend in the south :(. :cry :cry :cry :cry
No poopie MAN!! This is getting to be a bigger hassle to own that anything in my life. One thing after another. I've been keeping my dad informed about all the work on this car and he's going nuts.. he's like.. why the hell did you buy a car that everything breaks on?!?! :nonod: :nonod: :( :( :cry :cry :cry :cry
At least the person that buys this car from me sometime will know that nearly EVERYTHING has been replaced. I mean damn....
Luckily nothing has broken on mine in a while. I catch hell from My Mom seeing a lot of breakage seems to happen in the Summer Months. I am praying that doesn't happen this year, as I got the car back from LPE Last July.
I know it's hard to believe, but the bad luck HAS to end sooner or later.(Let's hope sooner). Maybe have it blessed? ;) "DEMONS OUT"

Hehe.. anyone want to drive the demons out of my car then?!?! I could REALLY use it!!!
Ahhh, I've given up loving my car, she just lets me down. She's so damn fickle, I wanted to take her out last night, and I put the key in wrong, and she refused to start, took a whole six minutes before she forgave me. Stupid VATS!
How many months is your project going on now? I took my car apart on the 8th of May and had it together by about the middle of October. :eek:
Well you know if you didnt drive like an old lady and werent putting all of those ugly, healthy girls in it it wouldnt break. :lol: :lol: Sorry to hear it bro now excuse me while I put mine up for sale. :yesnod:

So two questions - was this what caused your initial tranny problems (either directly or indirectly);
and do you think the wiring damage happened while removing or installing the engine?
I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure that the torque converter was indeed bad because of the vibrations. The only thing that a short in the wiring harness could have done to the torque converter was to keep it from locking up (but I could hear it do so).
It couldn't have been when removing the engine because it was the wiring harness inside the transmission, not the one going from the computer to the transmission. The harness inside the transmission is always in the tranny fluid and gets very hot, so it makes sense why it would be brittle.
Son of a !@#$%!!! They sent him the wrong wiring harness, so now he's going to have to stop at a tranny shop at 8am with my old one to get the correct one. This is really starting to **** me off.
