Wouldn't you know it .... So, I made plans for the weekend to go hang out with a lot of people. Apparently this isn't something you should do when you have your car in the shop.
Mechanic called me at 10 like he was supposed to and said that he got the replacement wiring harness in and got it working, except that it wasn't shifting into 3rd, which means that he probably broke the 3rd seal... :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry So now he's got to pull it back out again and I can't go home today like I wanted to. :cry It won't be done until Sunday now he says. I took it in last monday (feb 18th). 2 weeks to rebuild the tranny .... it should take 3 days max... :nonod: My mechanic has let me down this time. The engine taking so long wasn't his fault, it was the machine shop.
Just like anything else in life. As soon as you put a time requirement on it, nothing goes correctly. If you had a month to get it done in, it would have only taken 3 days. Thats how it always works out for me. :smash:
I was fuming about a problem with my car once(detonation) and my friends brother said"In comparison to real life problems(health, i.e. family) this is minor" He was right...but it doesn't change the way you feel toward your car giving you BIG ONES. I can fully relate(See my off topic response)...and understand your frustration.
A few things I have learned! 1. Mechanics HARDLY ever call when they say they will. 2. Always expect it to cost more than you originaly figure 3. And most of all, BE READY FOR ANYTHING!! :) Sorry Glock, trying a little humor there. On the positive side, at least it CAN be repaired nearby. Mine was in Indiana for three months last year when everyone here was scratching their heads.
Good Lord! What is going on over there C? As far as the car is concerned, I think you said it in off topic recently: you're "forum's unluckiest".
Maybe a whole bunch of forum members should go operate on the victim one day to get it good again. That will dislodge you out of this bad luck rut.
We feel so helpless!
