Check the front of the intake where it mates to the block. If not, probably the timing cover seals.

Black light + dye kit if you can't find it.

x2. Ensure you clean area as well as possible prior to using dye kit and black light. It will help pinpoint the source with that much ease.

WELCOME to the LT1 & LT4 family. Likelya front LT oil leak comes from the oil seal from the hub, opti or water pump gear. A new one would work for a while and eventually would start leaking oil again. Do like most of us, learn how to live with it and place a cardboard underneath the engine bay if you park inside a garage.

I've been using "blotter" paper for about a year now....it comes in 48" rolls of 100' at Home Depot (very cheap).

I've been leak free for ~8 years (knock on wood).

Try looking here! LOL

I had this mess back before I rebuilt my motor a couple years ago. Surprisingly it only leaked about a quarter sized drop on the floor every few days or so. Also, the opti was working great too.

EEEEWWWW! Which leak? I hope you used a few boxes of gloves, otherwise your fingernails are probably still black.

This was all in the design from GM. They wanted the oil to leak on the Opti so it would disperse the water away!!! Finally, I now understand the way to keep an Opti reliable. Keep it covered with oil and it won't get any water near it. I am just going to cover mine with grease and call it a day. Puddles here I come.
