Default tune out vats

i have a 96 LT4 i would like to tune off vats and cags. i also have two LS1 cars i would like to do the same with. is there software that will do both LT and LS cars or do i have to buy two tuners? what tuner works best for doing this? thanks

Can't help you with the software method but you could consider a VATS bypass unit.

I don't think you can turn off vats on the LS1 cars in the pcm. The LS2 cars and beyond you can but I'm pretty sure you can't on the LS1 cars. You can bypass it with a resistor which is cheap/easy. Read the stickies in the general help section. Maybe frost will chime in and correct me if I'm wrong but I tried to turn vats off on my 98 a few years ago and even though there's an option for it changing it made no difference. Maybe I missed a step though.
