High Idle
Just put a new rebuild engine in a 93 6 speed.Ported and polished heads,LT4 hot cam,updated optispark,52 mm TB.Starts great, good oil pressure no leaks, ut the idle stay high around 1800.Did not change the chip,(do they realy work?) Anyway, could use some help thanks.

I have not had this problem with my 93 Vette but I did have it on another TBI car. The problem was the idle air control valve. If the valve fails you can end up with a low or fast idle depending on the valves position when it fails. Mid America sells a 20 dollar test tool for the IAC valve/motor.
