Default Here I go again with Mufflers

Okay the LT mufflers are perfect for quiet, but no good for power; lost too much, and the ongoing exhaust experiment is exhausting....

I am now interested in Dynamax Super turbo's LT's not L98, I saw the LT tips on my car and I think they look more sinister and bitchin than the Corsa's ( all painted black)

I searched, can this muffs flow well enough to accomadate ~470- 500 crank horses or to paraphrase.. will they flow like the Corsa's?

or at least give me back some of my power without a headache?

I read alot about them and most say they are a quiet as stock, but I want flow as well and if you have a good set you want to sell let me know...

and I credit some off the Corsa's I want to get rid of....

remember LT not L98

and I heard Midas made them too and they flowed better, bigger pipes?

any pics?

You want these #'s 17689 & 17690 Dynomax Super-Turbo

page 4 this PDF: http://www.dynomax.com/assets/2008ca...superturbo.pdf

I have a pair of the Midas equivalents but my location doesn't make for an inexpensive "experience"! My Midas are 2.75 inlets. Neither the Super-Turbo or the Midas were "quiet as stock" but close!

PM me an email address and I'll try to send you a couple snapshots.

These are on an LTx system that I was looking to sell to someone that wanted to do pretty much what you intend to accomplish on an early C4.

A FEDEX GRD or maybe Greyhound might be a possible ship to keep it "inexpensive"!

Thanks Dave,

Yeah I was reading alot and you spoke about them way back in 10/2008, That is why I mentioned them here, astonishing you would be the first to respond;are they still on a car?

how did you find them, I saw no mention of them anywhere,

I didn't think Midas made muffs, did dynamax make them, as you know dynamax has the patented flow directors blah blah blah

as long as the quality is there I am game, do the tips look as good a OEM?

excuse the barage of questions, I just don't want to make another "mistake".

I made 4 of them so far. It's a little fun trying to "guess" what the sound would be like, but it has been a let down.

I suppose when you say 2.75 inlet, is true size going all the way in without downsizing?...

I'll Pm you my email would like to see pics and shipping could be murder... let see what happens....

You never cease to amaze me. Midas started out as a muffler shop.

I am till trying to wrap myself around the problem with Corsas. I don't like really loud exhaust at cruise. Even with the top down, my Corsas are perfect at cruise.

I agree. You will not find a decent flowing muffler thats quiet at wide open throttle. My Corsa's are no louder on the highway than the stock exhaust. Are they louder during moderate acceleration? Of course they are supposed to be.

Ive had 4 exhaust systems on C4s, Corsa is without a doubt the quietest performance exhaust you'll find. Everything else droans during cruise. It only gets worse with an auto tranny too.

I had issues with too loud . (383, 405 RWHP) > 97 db at WOT using magnaflows and no CATs. I installed a Spintech in the center just in front of the diff and it works great. Flows better than anything on the market and is quiet at cruise also. Check them out. Dave. www.spintechmufflers.com

NO DRONE ZONE any drone???

Thanks for the recomendation, they were recommended previously, I dig the LT tips, and have thought of the spintechs,

Can you discribe the sound and loudness compare to the Corsa's to which I am familiar?

you put a SINGLE inlet and dual outlet spintech under the car where the Y pipe?

any pics of this configuration?

Their selection is confusing, which model did you go with?
