how do I remove this thing???
hey guys I would like to replace the water pump drive shaft assembly on my lt-4.any help on how to remove the whole thing from the block as an assembly(if possible)would be greatly appriciated.thanks

Right! Of course, GM has a special tool to remove it, but I just tapped mine out. Came out easily.
Be sure to re-install the tube connector in the correction direction - grooved end toward engine.

ok. guys thanks for the help I will try the vise grips as my intake is backon already and seems to be sealed real nicely at both ends.I have had the engine apart for cam swap,headers ect.goteverything back together and I have this little noise coming from the front of the engine I am thinking it may be this water pump drive but not real sure.anyone ever have related issues ? noise is sort of an intermitant whirring or chirping just before RPMS settle back to idle any input would be great thanks again guys.
