Default Engine mount covers - do I need them?

I'm getting ready to put my LT1 back into my C4. The engine mount covers look like crap. I can't find any place that sells replacements. Is it absolutely necessary to include the covers when i replace the engine?

They look bad cosmetically as in all dirty or they are actually ripped up?

If it is just a question of cosmetics, reinstall them as they keep the exhaust heat off of the mount's rubber parts. If they are torn up, I'm thinking that heat reflective blanket like Dynomat if you can get a small enough piece to cut out two covers.

I wouldn't leave them off. JMHO

I don't know how good this P/N is as it's from my Parts CD for my ZR-1 but here it is: 10098129 that is listed as the heat shield.

There is a place that is still selling them. A while back (month or so) I thought about replacing mine long story short I found the factory part number did a search and some corvette parts place had them but for the price I decided I did not need new ones (around 30-40 bones each)
I don't remember the PN so I can't find the place.

I looked up the PN and if you use this as a google search you will find them for 29.95 ...at a corvette parts place named after an ocean that touches california.

corvette 10098129

not sure whether they are a sponsor or not so I'm not posting the link

Thanks to everyone who replied. I decided to wrap my old ones with 4" wide Reflect-A-Tape. My problem was a cosmetic one, so I think the tape will be a good solution. If not, it is good to have the part number and vendor information. I appreciate it.
