88 convertible plastic rear window
It was a cold New England morning. But the sun was shining and I thought -- let me take her out for a ride. It had been awhile since I had the chance to get her out on the road. So much so that the top was down. I started it up and began the process of closing the top when the worst thing happened! The back plastic window shattered -- just like a piece of plate glass. Needless to say I am very upset. So this is a warning to anyone who is as naive, stupid or just uniformed as I was.
So -- has anyone else ever had this experience or heard about it? Does anyone know if I can just replace the plastic piece or do I have to replace the whole top -- which I really hope I don't.
