I am leaking oil out between the engine and intake in the rear left, I have replaced gaskets twice and used blue and black RTV and it hold for a while and then starts leaking again.
My oil pressure stays normal, so I do not think that is the reason and after doing this 3 times, I do not think I am assembling anything wrong.
I know L98's have this problem, but I never heard of someone w/LT1 have this kind of trouble.
Does anybody have a fix or an idea on how to fix this once and for all?
When I replaced my intake I used the Right Stuff on the china walls no leaks. I have a 87 L98 you need to drop the intake straight down and not move. Lots of info using search on this repair. Good Luck
Double check the oil pressure switches on the back of the block ... they are known to leak and will leave a trail down the drivers side on the bellhousing mounting flange where the block's casting #'s are ...
