Water Pump sealing
Could someone give me the "proper" way to put a water pump back on without it leaking? I just got a Mez electric water pump and when I put it on there was some leaking around the bolts that hold the housing to the block. I'm assuming that I have to put some type of sealant on the bolts. Are there any tips or tricks to doing this?

I used the right stuff to stick my gaskets on the waterpump housing before trying to mount it for two reasons. Keeps the gasket from moving around while mounting it and also gives a better seal to prevent water leaks. Helms manual is at home or I'd look it up for you. :seeya

When I took mine off I saw where some bolt holes were in the water jacket area. I think the cheapie manual I have mentioned this too. If you cleaned the bolts off real good during the replacement I could see where it would leak through the threads. I used some thread sealer from the local auto store when I put mine back together. Not the stuff that will lock the threads, just the stuff that seals them. I think it was a 3M product.
